Consent to Electronic Records and Signatures

Version: 2026-10-12 · Status: draft for attorney review

This consent is shown to a tax firm's client before they sign a document electronically through Taxpace, a product of Twenty Techworks LLC. Examples are the client disclaimer, an engagement letter, or a consent form. It follows the federal ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §7001). Today electronic signatures exist only in Taxpace; Pacekeeping does not have them.

Your tax firm, [FIRM NAME], uses Taxpace to send you documents and collect your signature.

  1. What you consent to. You agree to receive this document electronically and to sign it electronically. Your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one.
  2. Paper copy. You may ask your firm for a paper copy at no charge.
  3. Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw this consent before signing by telling your firm. The firm will then give you the document on paper. Withdrawing does not undo documents you already signed.
  4. Scope. This consent applies to this document only, unless you agree to more.
  5. What you need. You need:
    • a device with an up-to-date web browser;
    • an internet connection;
    • a way to keep a copy, either by downloading the PDF or by asking your firm to email it.
  6. Updating your contact information. Tell your firm if your email or phone number changes.
  7. Record of the signature. Taxpace records:
    • the signed document;
    • the date and time;
    • your IP address;
    • your device and browser;
    • how you confirmed your identity.

    Your firm keeps that record.

☐ I have read this notice and agree to use electronic records and signatures.
